Lien recorded on a vehicle’s RC in favor of the financing bank.
Vehicle loans are secured by hypothecation; the bank’s name appears on the RC. When a borrower defaults and the bank seizes and auctions the vehicle, the buyer obtains the vehicle free of hypothecation once the bank issues a NOC and the RTO updates the RC.
